MMR Vaccine: Adults born prior to 1957 (68 or older) are presumed to be immune (health care workers are an exception- have to prove immunity) and don't need a vaccine nor, generally speaking, an MMR titer. Please note that should you choose to get a titer, you will likely have to pay the lab $142.
One dose is recommended to those born after 1957, assuming they don't have access to their vaccination records or lab proven immunity - 2 doses would be recommended if we know (negative lab titer) they aren't immune.
The immunity provided by one vaccine is 93% and goes up to 97% with 2 doses. There is <5% chance of acquiring measles but it is possible even fully vaccinated (called a breakthrough case).
Flu Vaccine: Please note that we currently only have regular dose flu shots available. If you require a high dose (for those who are 65+), please contact your pharmacy.
RSV Vaccine: We do recommend patients who are 75 years and older, or who are 60-74 years and are at increased risk of severe RSV disease, receive the RSV vaccine; however, we do not administer those in our office. Your local pharmacy should have those available.
Covid Vaccine: We also do recommend patients receive the newest Covid vaccine, especially if it has been over 4 months since your last Covid booster or 6 months from your last Covid infection. We are not administering these vaccines in our office - please contact your pharmacy.
